The problem is not lack of wealth creation because of globalization.
The problem is income distribution.
The math does not lie.

-Rich/corporations benefit as they outsource to produce essentially same thing (may not be of same quality etc) for less cost. They sell stuff at same price. One benefit of the Globalization.
-Even the rich/corporations that do not produce things in China can demand and get lower/stagnant wage for the workforce in America, citing the risk of losing jobs to China. Another benefit of Globalization.
-The ‘regular’ folks get the benefit of paying not much for stuff, aka Wal Mart effect. But I never heard of a company lowering price for products they were able to produce for less in China. The difference was pocketed by corporations. Not a great benefit of Globalization…August 4, 2010 at 10:06 AM in reply to: Gone with the Globalization, that is the US Middle Class #586818dbapig

Participant
One of the best times I ever had was when a recuiter got a inside line to the company I was interning at. We figured out his game because he was sequintually calling… 602.560.xxx1 then 602.560.xxx2… You could literally hear each cube’s phone ring one right after the other. Most of the cubes were empty. My boss noticed this and was so amused by it he had us interns start answering the calls using fake accents and names and had this recuiter thinking the whole company was ready to jump ship for a nothing offer.
Man each time I answered the phone he was getting more and more excited because he thought a fat payday was coming his way…

PS We are seeing the low-balling in my sector too… When I tell them I can still get my old rates they think I am blowing smoke… Im not…
Ahahaha, that’s funny. That happened to a place I used work at, a web design place. It was when the IT/internet was really hot. I came in one morning and a recruiter had left a voicemail. Turns out everyone else in the office got a voicemail from the recruiter. He even called the HR folks’ #’s and left voicemails also. Our HR person wasn’t happy about it.
I bet that same person got into mortgage broker business after the dot com bust.
