Participant

So, one of the two of you brings up his degrees, I bring up mine and I am the smarty pants? Don’t make me go and find it, I don’t have the time right now.
Let me shorten your work day for you. Don’t bother. You won’t find it. Because it doesn’t exist.
You are making me want to go and find it. I told you I don’t have the time.
And yet you seem to have plenty of time to keep telling us that you have no time. And your posts keep coming. There’s a contradiction at hand. Why don’t you save up some “posting time” and re-allocate it to “finding it” time. And then after you find it you can post it. Just a thought.

Allan, I apologize but I have to butt in here. You can address the other parts of that post if you like, but I pose a question to the gallery: What percentage of dual-doctorate holders (even in Fine Arts) would misspell the word “two” in this sentence? I can see someone writing “to” and forgetting the extra “o”. That’s an obvious mistake but I can buy that as a typo. Happens to everyone occasionally. But “two”? That’s not a typo. That’s a misunderstanding of basic language conventions. I’m sorry… that’s just too far gone.
My bullshit detector just went off again… even louder.

I never claimed to be Mr. smarty pants.
Sure you did. That’s where the two doctorates and 16 years of collage came in. (I’m still hoping to see some of the collages, by the way.)

I was responding to dave from fallbrook’s earlier posting of his academic background, so I didn’t really bring it up, he did.
If you’re referring to me, davelj, I’ve been a poster on this website for approaching five years. In the many hundreds (hell, could be a thousand for all I know) of posts that I’ve made over this time, my academic background has been brought up MAYBE three times, including this one. And in EVERY case, it was a response to someone either asking about it specifically or begging the question (as in your case), so to speak. I have NEVER brought it up out of the blue because, frankly, I think it detracts from the conversation and, as I’ve noted, I think degrees are over-rated. Consequently, it is largely irrelevant. You, on the other hand, clearly believe the opposite, which is why you brought it up in the first place.
And, anyway, who the hell is Dave from Fallbrook?
