grrr. I think too much. I told the agent to terminate the offer on Monday. I want it but I don’t want to write a big check.
LOL, and I was just about to retract my statement telling you not to buy, after you clarified your down payment situation.
In the end I think you went with your gut, and that’s a good thing. Just know that when you buy a house with 20 % down, you are going to have to part with a big chunk of change.
Finally, there is nothing wrong with renting. You have the ultimate freedom to make changes with 30 days notice. And from a financial perspective, it’s probably not a bad thing either. I really doubt we see any substantial price increase over the next decade. Good luck to you (and your realtor, LOL).

danielwisParticipantGreat post. I will never be a customer of one of the big multi-nationals again. They colluded to rob this country of its wealth via their actions of the last decade. When there is no recourse for banks that trade on high margin, writing useless loans, then CBO’s and derivatives on those loans, declare insolvency, secure billions in tax payer bail out dollars, and turn around and continue to trade on high margin, then I am done with them forever.
I bank at a small regional bank that did not participate in the crazy ponzi scheme. If they did, I’d be moving to a credit union.

danielwisParticipantHealth care bill will pass. Its not perfect, and far from it. Conserva-dems and Republican’s skewed it strongly in favor of insurance companies. In the end, we will be left with an industry that is largely competition free, as it is today, but we will move closer toward universal coverage. Eventually, we will need to move toward single payer. The current system favors waste, abuse, provider over payment, and over treatment. That will eventually need to be addressed, and this bill does not do that.
