That house is on the wrong side of 3rd… Its not bad being 5 houses from one of the two busiest streets in Coronado, but I wouldnt want to live there. As stated, I wonder what the actual price will actually be. I am interested in a house in Coronado right now. Its hard to find a property with a decent sized lot at a reasonable price. I’m pretty sure that prices are somewhat stable there now. It’s a small place willed with a lot of money. When people are under pressure to sell, the properties sell… As long as they are at today’s prices, not trying to get 2 year ago prices.

cyphireParticipantHey TheBreeze…
I don’t disagree with you…
I am also worried about what I will be feeling when we are snowbound for a few months at a time. I don’t mind the cold actually – As long as I dress for it and have the conveniences to go with it.
I’m not an idiot – I tend to coop my self up in houses anyway (spend most time indoors even in San Diego a few blocks from the beach). To each his own. That being said – we are here to spend the next 7 years getting our kids through school, it’s not a life commitment!
We plan on getting a condo in…. Guess where…. Wait for it…. SAN DIEGO! We will spend some of the vacation time and winters there (as much as the kids school time will permit) And also – mostly the summers there! I agree – when it’s summer time, I want to be where its dry and nice – and San Diego is that. When it’s winter in San Diego, it’s not exactly the Caribbean! It’s chilly and most of the houses are not exactly set up for the weather. It’s not cold enough to really be set up for weather, unlike a great house in the Midwest.
I love the environment here and have enjoyed visiting a dozen or so times (including a couple of weeks at a time looking for houses in the dead middle of the winter). My kids are already happy here and we will see what the future brings. I love the new house and a living situation which isn’t a complete brutal rip off to be able to say “wow look how nice and sunny it is outside!”. I also don’t like to settle and I won’t live in a $1M house which is built like crap, way too small, and / or has other things wrong with it. I am hoping that my $1M in Madison will give me the kind of enviroment which is lacking in SD without 3M$!!!
I’ll let the forum know if we survive! I’m not sure myself but life is an adventure and we are going for it!!!

cyphireParticipantp.s. Hi Rustico and Realtor and others! I will probably end up getting a condo in SD anyway for the future (in the future) so I’m not actually leaving forever anyway!
