ParticipantI got at least four intensely rightwing emails a day, everyday from well over a year ago until the day of the election. About a third were blatantly racist bits about how we couldn’t let a ******* control us.
If only to see the people who sent me that crap have to sit with themselves, I’m glad that McC lost. Somehow, those people just don’t understand how deeply they offended me.
THe really sad thing is that these same people are now going on the attack again – but in a more surreptitious way. We’ve got Weimar cancer, folks.

ParticipantFWIW:
Born in Nebraska and lived there until 12yo.
Worked (and paid) my way thru undergrad to get a BS Chem.
Saved up until I could pay my way through grad to earn an MS MatSci.
Voted Obama. Registered Independent.
Live in the sticks and heat the house with wood that I cut down and split by hand. So, I guess that I’m another one of those lazy lefties that’s always looking for a handout.
Most Republicans who’ve responded to this thread have insulted my intelligence and belief system, in their attempt to defend their belief system.
Either people are respectful or they’re not. It’s that simple.
