ParticipantI rather like Kirsten Kemp who used to do Property Ladder (now, occasionally, in reruns). She would tell people stuff like “You don’t need new kitchen cabinets — these are fine! Just change the knobs” or “You are overdoing this kitchen for this area [nearest city, Sacramento — 90 minutes away]. This is not a granite/stainless steel appliances neighborhood.” It’s amusing to watch the flippers go ahead with their plans anyway…and then can’t sell at the price they want.
