ParticipantFor Trivia Buffs:
Chester A. Arthur, twenty first president(1881-85), was probably born in Canada.
This is how history records him:
Publisher Alexander K. McClure wrote, “No man ever entered the Presidency so profoundly and widely distrusted, and no one ever retired… more generally respected.” Author Mark Twain, deeply cynical about politicians, conceded, “It would be hard indeed to better President Arthur’s administration
Better than natives Nixon, Carter, Bush 1 & 2, and Clinton eh?

ParticipantIf U.S. State department was satisfied with the authenticity of his BC, why should he go around broadcasting his documents to some random wacko? What expertise does a J6P have beyond that of passport office?
If you guess he was born abroad, how did he come to US? As a tourist/immigrant/illegal?
Even if he was born abroad, as a child of a US Citizen, he is a US Citizen. (same rule as McCain, born in Panama)
When there is so much juicy stuff about his legislative & policy weaknesses, why sweat over a non-issue? Honestly, how does anyone’s place of birth influence his or her potential as a candidate?
Do Bush or Cheney love the country any more than an illegal laborer? If so, what is the evidence?

is much more powerful as an electoral issue than
“Birth Certificate”
Casca, you seem logical; can you suggest how he might have gotten a U.S. Passport from State department? How did Illinois Secretary of State put him on ballot for IL & U.S. Senate? Do you believe he was born in U.S. or abroad?
