Participantradelow: was that a brokerage or bank account? Bank deposit is easy to handle, but I don’t know what happens to stocks.

ParticipantE*Trade Bankruptcy is likely; I have quite a bit there in brokerage & bank accounts. Don’t know whether it is time to get worried. Has anyone here dealt with a bankrupt brokerage? How difficult/easy to get your assets back? How does it work? I am aware of the FDIC process, but how to move stock accounts?

ParticipantRaptorduck is very keen on buying in RSF; he may have some observations. Somewhat surprising for a RSF property to go on the auction block. I was thinking properties in that range are less sensitive to mortgage/economy. If RSF, Beverly Hills etc, start having problems, the rot is much deeper. I would like to know the story too!

ParticipantIt was probably a projection of subliminal thought by BB that this whole credit mess we are in can be wiped out in one fell swoop by a “healthy” 100%+ inflation. Remember, his nickname is Helicopter Ben. Those holding US $ or equivalents should be worried, very worried.
