ParticipantHahaha we can’t even make the stupid scanners here. They are made in India:
Body scanner CEO accompanies Obama to India
Remember the “Sharp Dressed Man” who assisted the underpants bomber onto that plane last holiday season, even though he didn’t have a passport? The witnesses reported him as being of Indian ethnicity:

ParticipantMartin’s post brings up the obvious. If the bad guys want to get something on your plane they will just get hired by the TSA or the ground crew, or they’ll bribe someone in those positions. This whole thing is NOT about making flying safer.
The TSA has a few purposes as far as I can tell:
1) Make-work jobs to try to keep unemployment looking not so bad since so much work has been sent overseas.
2) A captive market for graft; insiders can sell them a bunch of junk “security” equipment.
3) Slave training. Getting the slaves used to being groped and prodded. Notice that the goons wear rubber gloves but they don’t change them between patdowns, so it’s not about cleanliness or safety. It is about conditioning you that government agents in rubber gloves can touch you and your family.
4) Goon squads. The government now has a big squad of goons that will do pretty much anything they’re told. Any agents that do not quit in protest over the new gropedowns and x-ray machines are of questionable moral and intellectual fiber. Think of the possibilities — a giant army of weak-minded goons that will do anything for a paycheck.
As far as I can tell, they’re basically getting everyone ready for the work/death camps. Also possibly forced vaccinations. The rubber gloves are just really creepy.

ParticipantI think the x-ray machines are great. Besides, x-rays are probably healthy for you anyway. The next time I fly, I’m gonna request a chick for the gropedown. I know all the ladies are gonna want to once they see the size of my schwanz in that x-ray machine.
Hey, if it will keep me safe from the terrists that I know are all around us at all times everywhere, It’s A-OK by me. BTW I think there is a terrist operating the dry cleaners down the street, I’m gonna make a call and turn him in before he does something.

Participant

The Office of Defense Secretary Robert Gates issued a statement today saying that the mystery contrail seen in the skies off Los Angeles County late Monday came from an aircraft, not a missile, as many have speculated.

I’d like to see some details
such as1) FAA Surveillance radar shows no unexpected returns
2) Radar at Pt Mugu and Vandenberg shows no returns.
3) DSP satellite XX shows no unexpected signatures.
4) SOSUS and Acoustic sensors show no unexpected signatures.
We don’t have those, but we do have the USA Notice to Mariners Nov. 6 2010.
