Participant

Yeehaw! I can’t wait to live in a society where corporations are free . . . blah, blah, blah
This is either a new troller or a wayward Pigg that decided it might be fun to take on a temporary identity . . . lol. Go back and assume your position in the food line at 23rd and Imperial to try to get your needed “services” out of our shrinking “government.”
So you think that someone who believes in government regulations to stop corporations from polluting the air and water is a troller? Interesting. And no, I’m not on government assistance. I have a job and am self-supporting.
It’s just that unlike you, I’m able to conceptualize what the government does beyond the level of a third-grader. I believe we need government regulations in order to stop companies like BP from destroying the planet.
In your original post on this topic, you said you wanted to ‘get government out of the way.’ Exactly what is it that the government is keeping you from doing? The government obviously isn’t keeping you from performing the vital function of posting on the Internet all day.

Participant
This young man (current candidate for the 51st Congress seat running against Bob Filner, career bureaucrat), in spite of everything that’s happened to him, has a TON of energy. His main platform is to limit government and get government out of the way. Sounds good to me.
Awesome! Let’s get government out of the way so that British Petroleum can drill off the coast of California! And let’s dismantle all those regulations keeping our air and water clean because those regs are preventing corporations from being as profitable as they could be! And let’s deregulate the banking industry entirely so that banks can lever up 1000:1 and completely destroy the economy once and for all! And lets eliminate all food stamps so that the 1 in 4 American children currently dependent on them starve!
Yeehaw! I can’t wait to live in a society where corporations are free to do as they please and government regulations and the government social safety net have been completely eliminated. What a magnificent utopia it will be!
