barnaby33ParticipantAtlas is only half done. What you see is the first of the two buildings. I now work across the street from it and went into the sales office to take a break.

barnaby33ParticipantIf you have read this far down this thread, you need to get a life. Go outside and enjoy what San Diego has to offer. Maybe even visit an open house or two and heckle the realtors?

barnaby33ParticipantNo. 248 is one of my favorite cuts. Of course so too will be No. 249.
I doubt news of the last 2 months would manifest itself as that many pre-foreclosures that quickly. I think the first manifestation will be a fairly large drop-off in sales over the next 2 months. This based on the disappearance of the 0% down and 100% financing schemes. NOTs should grow fairly quickly though and keep growing for the next 2-3 years.

barnaby33ParticipantNC Jim, maybe its just noise but the first week and last week of the month seem to have a lot more REOs. Is that normal or just a blip?

barnaby33ParticipantEvery time Rome burns, you gotta get the kindling from somewhere. It just so happens that its SEH and Otay.

barnaby33ParticipantI lived in Coronado during the last crunch. My mom, in a rent-to-own snafu, bought the cheapest house on the island at the time. 289 in 1990. Coronado does go down, it just does so last. Hazarding a guess as to how much though is a fools game for an individual zip code.
Coronado in particular used to have a lot of senior navy officers who lived there. They have been chased out by the prices though. I suspect much like everywhere else, its a much more transient place than it was last time around.
Rats, there are no rats in Coronado! Next thing someone will say is termites in Del Mar!

barnaby33ParticipantThe only real money to made on LEND at this point is buying calls and hoping the deal goes through. I don’t know that any of the brokerages will let you short and the premiums on puts are pretty high.
