ParticipantI could be wrong. I think these services allows you to lock and unlock your credit report with in hours if not minutes. If you do not have these services, it is not recommended to have your credit lock-out.
I am using a credit monitoring service from one of the three credit agencies. All I can tell you is that they are more likely to help your credit problem in your favor and probably faster than none-paying customers if you ever have one.
