ParticipantI don’t think that is a defense. “Being outside the sphere of imagination.” I’ve never seen a downturn, nor am I a RE agent. But is not that hard to figure out that when prices are going down, price ahead of the curve…. Is it too much to ask to understand your job?

ParticipantBuffet the biggest RE vulture of them all. He was eyeing Hovnanian as well. We are all hoping for a deal on a house. He’s buying multi-billion dollar companies for pennies on the dollar.

Participantmuggle,
I’ve noticed similar things as well. Just a dumb realtor using tactics that were successful during the run up coupled with an overy optimistic seller. Bad combination for getting the best price for your property. It’s like “come on dumbass you may want to change you strategy now that the market is different.”

ParticipantI wonder how stupid they feel for rejection yours and how many others? Watch out for the phone call “good news we decided to take your offer”.
I’m glad to see OC dipping that much. I have freinds in OC that say “it’s different up here”
On side note. I think they were high when they came up with that 899. Even peak prices don’t support that. That gets filed under WTF
