Participant
Because I never thought I would vote for Hillary, lol. Ok, let me correct that. I’m probably not a California Democrat. More like a Bible state democrat. lol.
What does that even mean? So you’re OK with higher taxes, bigger government, just as long as they don’t touch college acceptance?an
Participant
The undecided voter:
Imagine yourself on an airplane, and the flight attendant offers you a choice of two meals. “We have chicken or shit with bits of broken glass”. And you hesitate. And ask how the chicken is prepared.
That’s what Trump supporter say too. Except it’s probably fillet mignon instead chicken.an
Participant

I can’t believe I’m turning into a democrat…..
What the hell is the world coming too?
Ok, in the bare minimum I’ll keep my RINO status.
I do like Assembly Member Brian Maienschein in my district.
So you’ve finally embraced affirmative action huh?
absolutely not…. Brian Maienschein was against SCA-5 actually. But, sometimes you got to pick the immediate battles to fight. :)
But if you’re turning into a democrat, then why would you be voting for Brian Maienschein?an

Participant
I read this NY Times article about Trump pushing Asian Americans (who’ve replaced Hispanics as the fastest growing racial group in the U.S.) into “Democratic arms” and thought of flu, AN and my Asian American friends…so true! -http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/02/us/politics/trump-asian-american-voters.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=0.
I don’t know if Trump pushes AA to vote D or just not vote. We’ll just have to wait and see. Personally speaking, I definitely officially pushed me away from R. If the “Democrat arms” give them Affirmative Action like we saw in CA, I’m pretty sure those AA will be running the other way pretty quickly.
What I’m interested to see is where the Republican will go from here. Will they go down with the ship and all of Trump’s supporter. Or will they splinter off into another party. Or will they kick out the Trump supporter and go back to the free trade/small gov Republican.

Carlsbad now.
Wow, close to my end of town.Living or just working?
Carlsbad has grownup a lot in the last 10 years, kind of spilling over into the surrounds as well.
Working, though the thought of getting a second home has crossed my mind.
well at least you are going against traffic.
gonna be difficult to arrange a lunch get-together then…
There’s always Carmel Valley as a place in the middle.

ParticipantWTF, would have never thought my taxes would go up under a Republican. This is BS when both parties are squeezing the middle/upper middle.

Participant
Yea, there’s nothing more powerful this year than voting for someone other than the two major parties.
Sure, one of the two will likely win (way over 90% chance), I really doubt any third party candidate will claim any State. But a strong showing may finally break the mindset of there’s only two parties.
Johnson is on the ballot in every State, unlikely to be on the debate stage. Stein is on many. The media polls and project winners are typically done presenting only two options.
In California, were way down in numbers with only 5 parties on the ballot.
Exactly.an
Participant
BG, although I don’t want to go into detail, and as sad as I am to say this, for the first time in our lives, we will not be voting for president this time around.
We find both candidates deplorable in different ways, and, although we know many will say there is no excuse, we just cannot endorse either, and that’s as far as I want to go on this topic, other than mentioning that we also have many friends and family who are doing the same.
But don’t you think not voting will beget more of what you’re seeing this cycle? After all, if all the moderates people think and act like you and just stay at home, then we’re leaving the extreme of both party to dictate the candidates we get to vote for?

Participant

Who voted for the Iraq war? What brought on ISIS? It doesn’t matter how many died. 1 is too many. But it matter more who lied about what.
It doesn’t matter how many died? If 100 lies leads to 1 death, it’s worse than no lies leading to tens of thousands of deaths? What lies are you even talking about?
How does a gaffe lead to tens of thousands of death? What good is all the knowledge if it lead you to make the wrong decision? As for what lies, you don’t really care for answer. That shit has been covered for awhile all over the news from MSNBC to Fox and everywhere in between.an
Participant
Shouldn’t be a big deal relative to Clintrump’s issues.
I’ve always wished Weld was on the top of the ticket. I’m guessing he would have known about Aleppo.
That’s my point exactly. But it doesn’t really matter what the right or left think of this gaffe. The Hillary supporters on here is just as blindly devoted to her as the Trump supporters are. I can point to many many gaffe of Clintrump that are much worse. Better yet, I can point to their many past actions that are much worse. Action speaks louder than words. The left and right combined only have about 50% of the votes. It’s the independents who feel they have to pick between just these 2 that horrifies me.an

Really? It’s like not knowing what Saigon is during the Vietnam war. Say what? Gone where?
I’m going to test this one also.
Geography questions can be fun. What is Yalta? Winston Churchill admirers ahould know… Remember the bust controversy?
