A single paragraph of a speech that you just read for the first time no more than a few days ago, for which you had zero context, is why you don’t trust her? Before that you did? Yeah, go with that. That’s believable. Can’t be that you really don’t have a good reason.
Believe what you will. I’m not trying to convince you. All you need to know is I think she’s a big fat LIAR. I’m also not alone. Majority of American think so too. Keep drinking your Kool-Aid. It’s good for you.
Something like 20% of Trump supporters think that Lincoln was wrong about freeing the slaves. Can’t actually name a lie, but you know she’s a liar. Who’s drunk the Kool-Aid?
yep, it’s me who drunk the Kool-Aid. LOL. Good one.

Participant
Why don’t you trust her? You think there was something wrong with her foundation? There wasn’t. Not even any accusations that make sense. Nothing. You think there was something wrong with her email? The two prior SOS used aol and gmail for their government email and deleted every single one of them. Never turned a single one over, not even the top secret ones. And the head of the FBI acknowledged there was not a single email on her server that was correctly marked classified and that there was no evidence it was ever hacked. Got a problem with her with Benghazi? Eight different investigations by Republicans cleared her of any wrong doing. I’ll tell you why the majority of Americans don’t trust her. Because Republicans have been running a smear campaign, first against her husband and then against her for more than 30 years. Never convicted of a crime, but dozens of books about her, including lists of the people she “murdered”. Never even charged with a crime, but the Republican nominee is ready to “lock her up” the day he is inaugurated. That shit gets old. And eventually people are convinced where there is smoke, there must be fire. But there isn’t. If there was, something would have been found on her. It never has been. Never. Not a thing.
So I’ll ask you one more time. Why don’t you trust her?
I can go point by point, but I’m sure you will ignore them all and don’t actually care. I’ll just summarize by paraphrasing what she said in her speech. She has a public position and a private position. What she say to get elected and what she intended to do can be two very different thing. So, how can I trust her when I don’t know when she’s telling the truth?
Anyways, I’ll let you enjoy your Kool-Aid, I just don’t want any part of it. There’s really no point in debating further. Just enjoy the fact that she probably would win the presidency.

Participant

Does it really matter what she say? She said so herself that she has a private and public position. What you hear might not be what the private bankers hear.
She didn’t say anywhere in that line the two were different or inconsistent with each other. As she said last night, one is used to convince the masses, and another is used to convince those she meets with in small rooms. Her goal remains the same, to get the deal done.
There doesn’t appear to be anything in Clinton’s current plan to do away with stepped up basis.
Wow you really swallow the spin.
lol. Like I said before, some of her supporters are just as blindly devoted as his. It’s kinda sad watching from the outside. They have no idea why majority of American don’t trust their candidate.

Don’t waste your vote, vote third party.
Vote for third party or not voting is also the same as voting for Donald or Hillary. You just chose to let others make that choice for you.
This is California, your choice is completely irrelevant so instead of being a lemming and letting the two part system take you for granted, make your voice heard.
Or not, and in a 2024, you’ll look back thinking how good these two choices were.
exactly. CA is deep blue, so it doesn’t really matter. But at least you can say you voted for who you really want.

Participant

Are you guys watching this actually? I tuned out once I figured they won’t really be talking about the main issues anyway…The economy and taxes.
You missed out big time about taxes…trump now said he paid millions, hundred of millions in taxes.
Meh, I care what Hillary has to say about the step-up cost basis when you die and pass on your property to your kids. I believe she was for eliminating that, which would have huge implications on anyone with assets. What was unclear was whether she was a proponent of eliminating this completely or eliminating this only for people who made $2million or more /year.
In any case, like I said, everyone’s taxes is going to go up, regardless of whether Trump or Hillary is in office. And if these tax laws get revised because Hillary wins and the GOP loses the majority in Congress, well… the alt-right republicans that made Trump where he is pretty much to blame for this disaster.
Does it really matter what she say? She said so herself that she has a private and public position. What you hear might not be what the private bankers hear.

A Republican winning in CA? Yeah, that’ll happen when pigs fly.
A rich moderate well-funded Republican could win against a weak newbie democrat.
Boxer and Feinstein are beloved Californians so they were safe.
Yep, when pigs fly. Ain’t gonna happen.an

Participant
You just said that you have faith in our political system.
I do. Which is why I’m not worried either way. Doesn’t mean I like what I see. That’s two totally different things.
AN, you don’t like the nominee of the Republican party, so you’re voting third party. Good for you. At least you have the good sense to repudiate your party for the collective guilt of nominating Trump. Many of us don’t share your pain.
I was never a registered Republican. So, they are not my party.

Were are not a parliamentary system. We fight it out within our parties, not on the floor of congress. Bernie asking his supporters to vote for Hillary is not enough for you?
Bernie is a sellout idiot.
Johnson is a know nothing idiot.
Hillary is a 10 headed snake.
Trump… well, we know who he is.Great choices eh?
I have seen and lived in other democracies.
Our choices ( other than Trump) are much better than what other people get.
I totally agree. I was speaking in extreme hyperbole to imitate brian :-).

Participant
AN you know me pretty well. And you know that I would never be Ok with higher taxes and bigger government.
Yes, I know you well. I was asking as a jest more than anything. I know where you stand on issues.
BUT, at this point, I’m more concerned with a longer term damage Trump does to this country than a shorter term damage that Hillary might do to my taxes.
I think that’s where we disagree. I have faith in our political structure. Which I think will prevent someone like Trump to do crazy shit. However, if Clinton and democrats somehow win in a land slide, we will not only see no entitlement reform but add on to that, free college, higher minimum wage, bigger government, etc. Which, IMHO, is cause a very long lasting damage. It’s not about my taxes. I don’t think either one of them will greatly affect me in the next 4-8 years. But I believe her policy (if she gets everything she want) will cause long lasting impact.
He represents everything wrong about this country, every sorry excuse people make for themselves on why they can’t get ahead.
Yes, very true. But the demographic shift will change all of that over time. in 30 years, minorities will be the majority. Look around and you see A LOT of mix kids now and it will only get more prevalent.
Like NSR said, everything that you said you stand for and favor, is what a Libertarian stands for. So, why vote for the lesser of the two evil when you have an option that stand for what you stand for? Also, you’re in CA, which mean Hillary will get our electoral votes anyways, so why worry about actually voting for who you want instead of the lesser of the two evil.

That’s what Trump supporter say too. Except it’s probably fillet mignon instead chicken.
Yeah, except Trump is objectively shit with bits of broken glass. Clinton is chicken.
More like, one is shit with razor blade and the other is shit with broken glass.
