ParticipantLiberty Station schools is on the the same league as CV. Liberty Station schools are scoring worse than Mira Mesa. Liberty Station is far from a lot of the high tech jobs (SV/CV/UTC areas). So, put it simply, if you’re an engineering couple working in SV/CV/UTC area and want top schools, w/in 15 minutes from work, new and clean area. Liberty Station is definitely not on your radar.

Participant
For the most part they will also enjoy a quality of life that FOR THEM is superior to those who rent.
I can attest to this statement. My quality of life is SO MUCH better now than when I was renting. There’s something to be said about knowing your mortgage payment for 30 years. Even if I don’t have another raise for 30 years and my house does not increase in value for 30 years, I know I can afford the monthly payment easily while still be able to save for retirement/college/travel/etc. Also, in 30 years, I know I can retire and have very little expense for shelter.an

Participant
Doesn’t change my point. Sure Piggs are the minority, they were one of the few groups who didn’t purchase during the housing bubble while virtually everybody else did.
Now that Piggs are out of the market, who is left? Doesn’t change the fact that to me this is a contrarian indicator that confirms more than ever that home prices are about to take another crap.
Who’s left? How about investors? But if you think there’s no more money left on the sideline, then the investors variable wouldn’t apply. How about new house hold being created everyday? How about new residents who are moving here?an
