ParticipantPablo: Kolsch is good stuff. One of my grandpa’s buddies was from Koln (Cologne), and this is where Kolsch derives its name and style. He brewed a badass Kolsch, as well as some of the heavier double Bocks.
If you go for the hoppier stuff, the Bavarians RULE. They also make nice big blondes, too. The women, not the beer. :). When it comes to cars, weapons, beers and women, you gots to love the Germans (and Austrians, Prussians and Bavarians).
Deutschland uber alles. And not in the creepy Hitler way.

Participantafx: Sadly, I do not. I consume my fair share, and have a fairly extensive knowledge (given to me by gramps, my uncle and my dad), but no recipes.
There are some great websites, however, dedicated to beer recipes and I was noticing that certain German beers are starting to make a comeback here in the US, such as Berliner Kindl Weisse (which is very tart and is Berlin’s signature beer) and Rauchbier (which is like drinking bacon, no shit, and it tastes WAY better than it sounds).
You might check out the German Beer Institute (you can Google them). I’m pretty sure they offer recipes for brewing.

Participant“Well, then that really isn’t top secret. That would be company confidential or company secret. Which, an in case, talking about it outside the company breeched his/her code of conduct. not to mention if the evidence was so damning to the company, and with dire consequence, why oh why wasn’t the whistle blown on this?”
Flu: Exactly my point earlier.
