I propose a corollary to Godwin’s Law: any participant in an online debate who accuses their opponents of gender-related anatomical insecurity shall be judged to have lost.

ParticipantRead today that Cinco de Mayo celebrations started among Mexican-American communities in California as a show of solidarity with the fight against French occupation of Mexico. Thus it’s a truly American holiday. So what if Mexico hardly recognizes it, or goateed intellectuals pillory it as “not authentic enough” or whatever?
And it’s true that beer companies have done their best to turn Cinco de Mayo into yet another alcoholiday, but we’ve already done the same to our own patriotic holidays. π
