Have you updated to 4.0.1? It seemed to speed things up for me. Also do a hard-reset to clear your cache and tmp files. Hold down Home + Power simultaneously for about 6 seconds (ignore “Slide to power off”) until you see the silver Apple logo then release the buttons.

Have you updated to 4.0.1? It seemed to speed things up for me. Also do a hard-reset to clear your cache and tmp files. Hold down Home + Power simultaneously for about 6 seconds (ignore “Slide to power off”) until you see the silver Apple logo then release the buttons.
