ParticipantEven if there is no additional tax revenue from Prop 19, don’t forget to factor in the money that will be saved by not having to arrest, prosecute, and imprison people for marijuana-related infractions. How much does the state currently spend on these things?

Try loading a 40,000+ photo library. Takes 5-10 minutes to load every single time. I understand it’s a streaming device, but they could leverage some of the 8GB onboard NAND to cache file lists and metadata so the entire library doesn’t have to be transferred & processed every time I want to show some friends some pictures on my TV.
Also, try setting your photo library as the screen saver, it will randomly cycle through a small subset of photos rather than all of them. My screensaver repeats the same 15 photos over and over. Check the Apple TV discussion forums, there are tons of complaints.

ParticipantThe new Apple TV is buggy as hell. No doubt there will be improvements in subsequent software updates, but it’s clear they rushed it out to get a jump on Google TV.

ParticipantLast year I went to a wedding at Rimrock Ranch near Pioneertown and fell in love with the area/lifestyle. Some modernist architecture combined with the rustic cabins felt like the best of both worlds. But I’d probably end up drinking my life away at Pappy & Harriets if I lived up there.
