Participant
Now what was in that bill we passed without reading the other day? Anybody know?
The full bill is available in PDF form online. It is all right there for the picking, and has been for weeks:
- frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=111_cong_bills&docid=f:h1enr.pdf
- http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/ARRA_public_review/
- http://www.recovery.gov/
The Internets are a beautiful thing. Intellectual laziness is not.

Participant
I wish you guys would look past the partisan lines.
He asked for an example of where raising taxes helped the economy, and I gave it. I’m sorry you see that as partisan. I’m not so sure it’s even possible to be non-partisan when we’re debating two competing economic theories.

Participant
What about privatizing the Fire department they do it with Libraries etc
If a Fire Department is a private company, their sole worries are their bottom line, shareholders, and profit, not you or your safety.
Would you want a Fire Department determining that your house and family is not worth the cost to their bottom line? Sounds a lot like the healthcare industry.
