ParticipantThe only downside to cutting cable is lack of live sports. We have cut cable before and my husband missed live sports, so we have cable again. As for using an antenna to get channels, where you live determines what channels you can get (where I live in North County with a rooftop antenna, I’d only get 2 channels).

ParticipantWe don’t buy the pictures either. The pictures are in the yearbook, which is more fun to look through and the kids have fin getting their friends to sign it, so I do buy one of those for my kids to share. Maybe the school has to take pictures for the yearbook?

ParticipantI have not rented a SFH, but two condos (one in Mira Mesa, one in Carlsbad). Both places the washer/dryer was not included, one place had a refrigerator included on the property (but repairs were not included and it would not be replaced if it broke), the other place did not have a refrigerator at all. If you price your rental competitively, you will probably find a renter. If you want to charge a higher rent, you should probably include the appliances.

ParticipantIf it is tolerable, you probably get used to it after a while. If it isn’t tolerable at the beginning, I would say pass.
