ParticipantOh come, come now evolusd! How about $40k for college fees. Even I have been in this country long enough to know that credit cards are how nearly everyone purchases everything from food to travel to TV’s. But that is missing the point, which is that people who don’t necessarily have the means or experience to understand how quickly debt can pile up, are systematically targeted. Moreover, there are much wider ramifications for an economy based on debt, which should now be very apparent from the current credit crisis. Sure, there are those who use and abuse the system irresponsibly for personal gain, but by and large enticements to borrow rarely educate or advertise the potential downside or threats.

ParticipantRegarding cell phone usage, it is even more annoying (and horrifying) when people talk on their cell phones in the shared restrooms at work. While “using” a stall! I cannot believe how often this happens at my office.
Two guys are sitting in adjacent cubicles in a restroom. One guys says, “Hi!”. The guy in the next cubicle thinks it’s better to be polite, and responds back with a “Hi!”. The first guy then follows with “How are you doing?” A little bashful, the other guys anwsers “Err …I’m doing fine …thanks?” The first guy then boldy says, “Do you mind if I pop over?” In anguish, the second guy who is still confused, but a nice guy say’s “I’m a little busy right now”. The first guy then says, “I’ve got to hang up now, there’s somebody in the cubicle next to me who thinks I’m talking to him.”

ParticipantYes, and that’s one of the reasons he’s despised around the world …brashness and ignorance. Bragging has negative connotations, and with the US in moral deficit, comments like that really don’t help much, do they?. God help the man.
