Take a look at these groovy original Harvest Gold appliances:

Looks like the kitchen in the house I grew up in … except the cabinets were stained in a matching color.

Luv this “vintage” kitchen, AK! The appliances appear in excellent condition for being circa 1977!
Brings back a lot of memories . . . lol . . .
Edit: Just checked out the listing! Luv the WHOLE house and location, too!!

Laugh all you want folks but I bet
1)This home isn’t an REO or short sales. Anyone who kept a refrigerator (or all the other appliances for that matter) *that long* clear has exercised a lot of fiscal responsibility, which is more than most americans can demonstrate…
2)That circa 1970 refrigerator is probably will last longer than any other fridge coming out of Korea/Mexico/China these days. In fact, it’s still probably running on it’s first compressor and probably doesn’t have any rust on it’s doors.
3)
What’s definitely much more impressive is if you look at the property tax roles and the estimated value at which it is taxed versus it’s $700k asking sale price… Um, I’m not laughing…….That retired couple is going to make out like fiends….
Land $26,581
Additions $103,504
Total $130,085
Tax (2009) $2,1304) I bet the home is paid off.
5) I’m sure their savings account is nothing to sneeze about either… πI miss the older generation americans. There were a lot cooler and responsible than some of these baby boomers, Generation Xers (my generation), Y, and millienium entitlement cry-babies.
That house looks awesome, especially the backyard….Uh… I miss norcal.

Not so fast, flu. This home could very well be owned by “baby boomers.” My first house in SD had an avocado green “Sears Coldspot” s/s frig very much like the one in the pic! Many baby boomers are fiscally responsible.
I miss Norcal, too! I can almost “feel” the breezes on the deck overlooking Mt. Tamalpais just gazing at those pics! I can totally imagine that nice tall stone fireplace crackling with the patio screen open!
AK, are you considering moving?? I try not to look too much at RE in Norcal because I don’t want to “dream” about something I can’t do right now . . . lol :=(
HOWEVER, I’m going up to visit winerie(s) soon. It’s harvest season and time for the “crush” :=D
