Why are real estate prices in San Diego still expensive? Who is paying these prices? Florida is HALF the price except in few places like Bay Biscayne in South Beach Miami and has same benefits. Economy sucks in San Diego
What about rents?
I went on Miami craigslist and I see over 800 listings for 3-bedrooms renting under $800/month. Most appear to be legit. In the same price range in San Diego, I see a bunch of spam, two listings in Tijuana, and two listings in Rosarito.

Rents are shocking high in San Diego to those who don’t follow them and even sometimes to those who do follow them.

December 8, 2010 at 12:11 AM #636747EugeneParticipantBTW, it’s amazing how much spam there is now in the housing section of craigslist. It was much cleaner just a year ago. and 90% of spam is from one company, “youown.net”. Makes me want to write a crawler that scans through listings and automatically flags everything from that company.
