I don’t think there is one piggington regular who is shallow enough to think San Diego “has it all”.
I think most have traveled extensively and would know that some stuff out in the world is better than what you can find here. My travels have led me to see San Diego does not really have the best of anything, including Mexican food(super cocina on 37th and University is great).Imanass, as long as you are going to introduce psycho-babble into the thread:
The argument that somehow we are infatuated with our surroundings because we defend that prices are high and will be comparatively high for the forseeable future reeks of envy. At least the Imadumbass making the argument has that issue. As FSD points out , even a reasonable person who leaves for whatever reason wont deny current reality of pricing here. It takes a good meal of sour grapes to do that.November 13, 2010 at 8:53 AM #630571NotCrankyParticipantI don’t think there is one piggington regular who is shallow enough to think San Diego “has it all”.

November 13, 2010 at 8:59 AM #630509jpinpbParticipantjstoesz – you have to do right for your family. Don’t feel bad about leaving SD. Those of us that live here love it and try somehow to make it work, but certainly some of us make sacrifices and compromises to do it. Perhaps the new job will work out well and allow you to pay off bills, save money and in the interim, maybe prices will further stablize in SD and might be better opportunities in the area you seek in the future. Or maybe you will find things are nicer up there and you establish roots, make friends and enjoy it more. Don’t stress about it. You never know what the future brings. You could win the lottery or something. Okay. Far-fetched. But just saying, there’s a lot of twists and turns in life. Roll w/it.
