As long as the taxpayer is taking all the risks, then we really do NOT need a private banking system.
If taxpayers are paying for it during bad times, we might as well profit from it during good times.
Personally, I see no reason for private bankers to be in control of a nation’s currency. It should fall under the control of the U.S. Treasury.
