Been here for well over 3 years. Waited and finally bought late last year. I’m still here because I’m now addicted to RE and RE related discussions. I’ll be buying some investment properties when things really hit bottom, which I hope/guess, won’t be for another 3-5 years at the earliest.

May 13, 2009 at 7:18 AM #397794WestCoastNoleParticipantI’m here because I love living in San Diego and want to buy a house here, but I am confident that house prices are going to continue to fall off a cliff, and I am waiting for the prices to fall to a sane level in a neighborhood that I would like to live for the long term … I find some amount of comfort in the fact that there are other like minded piggs out there that don’t believe all of the realtor (and government) happy talk and understand that at the end of the day house prices above 2-3 times income are not sustainable and will eventually fall back to that.

May 13, 2009 at 7:36 AM #397817LeorockyParticipantI bought in the fall. A few months prior I found this site. I liked it because I was able to find some in depth discussion about the area I was planning to buy in (Clairemont). I still come back and poke around for that same reason.
