Dan: “A veteran from some post-apocalyptic Mad Max world”. In other words, a Raider fan.
Let me guess, Dan: You’re a Niner fan, I take it? Refuse to acknowledge that the Bay Bridge exists? Only time you find yourself on the 80 is when you’re lost?
Snob.
No.
I acknowledge that both the bay bridge and oakland exist. I hold them with slightly higher esteem that I hold los angeles (mind you I am from northern California).January 4, 2009 at 11:30 PM #324270urbanrealtorParticipant
Dan: “A veteran from some post-apocalyptic Mad Max world”. Throwing out that weak tautology as an actual defense? Fresno is better than LA. Bakersfield is better than LA. Shit, Yuba City is better than LA!
You’ve been a Niner since the Steve Deberg days, haven’t you? Admit it. I smell that “Forty-Niner Faithful” mid-1970s desperation here, don’t I? Gawd, that’s terrible.

Dude, you can’t call tautological (or even onotological)weakness on a something so close to home. Also, I was 2 and living in Germany in the mid-70’s.
I am not as old as you.
Though, my family BA cred goes back some ways. My uncle (who is now a Williams-Sonoma master sommelier) used to open for Dead Kennedys.
Holy non sequitirs Batman.
