Competition is great for society to a point. Globalization as you call it is what? We here in the US can extort third world countries so you can have Twinkies for a dime less?? Wal Mart has personally caused many American companies to manufacture overseas. Levi’s, Dill Pickles, the list goes on. So it isn’t hate for the entrepreneurship of Wal Mart, it is for the globalization. Why is it OK to buy goods from slave labor as long as it isn’t here in the US? It is OK as long as you don’t see it. OR is it the excuse that if we didn’t do it someone else would??? Let Wally world learn to be competitive without foreign goods (yes everyone sells crap from china, but only because the leader WW does it and they have to be competitive), then I would shop there and applaud them. Some people live with their choices some people ignore them. That is fine. Keep shopping at Wally World but don’t keep asking what is happening to my country. Before you all jump on that, I know that Wally world isn’t the only downfall of America but it sure is aiding the cause. .

WalMart Neighborhood Store is better than a Vons. The store looks great with stained polished concrete floor. They have everything there, even couscous.

If Walmart enters the California market in a small format, Fresh & Easy is done in my opinion. The other supermarket better watch-out.

I don’t see how F&E can make it with their small stores (they are losing $2 million per store right now).
