You can say this for almost the entire US, unfortunately. San Diego isn’t unique. Oregon actually had a law banning Black settlement up until the 1930s, Portland is still considered racist. Queens, NY had active KKK and Daddy Trump was a member. Boston had literal riots over school segregation in the 1960s.

Even Vermont had active Klan at one point…

I think some people become white supremacists because they are tired of hearing about social injustice and income inequality. I am not sure why they do not like the Jewish community. I am a white male who is definitely tired of hearing about social injustice and income inequality, but I roll with the punches. I also support Israel and do not like palestinians. Oh, I am also German. I guess our views are cultivated by our perception of the complex world we live in.
