I hope you know that those little white fences have been sold for decades as garden borders – they just aren’t used much anymore which is why some of the younger folks on here might not recognize them. When I was a teen, almost every house with residents over 50 had those damn things in their front yard.
I would imagine that the resident in the photo attached to this post placed them there at the corner of the yard by the driveway to discourage bikes/people/cars from cutting the corner short which would encourage a nice little mudhole to develop.
