Maybe the safest way is to keep cash and stay away from stock market? Roubini predicted a 20% down of S&P. But the stock market swings huge and one could end up losing money either way.

Actually many stocks have came down without seeing significant profitability down trends yet, such as GOOG and FSLR. So I don’t think I can justify to short them.
