ParticipantJust my personal note. I have tried to not be a major consumer and limit the credit card use (although that got hit hard on the trip to Italy in Sept) I hadn’t taken a real vacation in probably almost 10 years. Had frequent miles and stayed w/family and friends for part of the trip.
This recession hasn’t really affected me greatly yet. But I have always tried to curb my spending. I think for many who like to shop and spend and buy the latest and greatest, those are the ones that may be affected. Those that have to try to now curb their shopping tendencies will be affected.
For us Piggs, saving and curbing spending is the norm. There won’t be a drastic change for me when it comes to that.

Guns are the next bubble. I’m going to think about flipping my guns. Maybe buy some more. Hell, even get my firearms dealers license and dabble in the gun market.
