ParticipantHere’s an article from todays UT. Some zips are still holding up well, so I guess it depends on location. My wife and I looked at a house in SB this weekend – very run down with significant highway noise – asking 1.1M. I thought the listing agent was crazy to set that price – but perhaps the market will prove him sane.

ParticipantThat article is surprising… I clicked on the graphic to see that UC is in the appreciating catagory… that surprises me because homes for sale, at least in south UC, seem to stay on the market for quite a while. During the peak it seemed like the $1Million price tag was not unusual – and now most listings are in a more realistic range.
I’m glad I’m not selling or buying in this market.

ParticipantUsing all of 2008 is a little misleading. Also, the places where the price is holding up also show a decrease in sales.
