The biggest issue detractors bring up is Benghazi. In all fairness, it’s all a mountain out of a molehill. Chris Stevens, the ambassador, wanted to go and engage with the locals. It was his choice; he didn’t have to go to Benghazi. I really don’t see how Hillary is responsible for his death.
I’ve talked to a couple people in the foreign service and they find the whole Benghazi conspiracy baffling.
The deaths were unfortunate and better coordination could have provided more security. But nothing like a conspiracy.
There is a problem with what happened over there, but that’s not really my issue with it. My issue was the attempted cover up and they had to keep backtracking until you got a version that was at least believable. Just like this attempted cover up with the email server. Oh I din’t have any classified documents on that server, but now it seems like she did.
If you honestly believe in more progressive policy you should be championing a Bernie Sanders because I can pretty much guarantee Hillary ain’t going to do anything to advance progressive policy. She might do something superficial but nothing of substance. She’s she going to tell people what they want to here while enriching herself selling this country to the highest bidder (aka donation to the Clinton Foundation). For you I think all that matters is your team won. You don’t really care about the policy. You care about the D next to the name.
August 12, 2015 at 12:14 PM #788617FlyerInHiGuestThe Clinton foundation is one the most transparent and does a lot of good worldwide thanks to the former president’s access and influence.
Progressives don’t have to be ragtag activists. They can be influential billionaires ans millionaires who control powerful organizations.
In San Diego, we have Trump like Doug Manchester. We also have Irwin Jacobs, a supporter of Hillary Clinton, who created high paying jobs and new wealth for the region.

And the more he talks, the more he proves he’s a f’ing idiot. Not a jerk, though he is that too. An absolute idiot. He essentially said the 14th amendment isn’t constitutional. Spit my spicy noodle all over the table laughing at that one.

If you are referring to birthright citizenship, I guarantee you that the majority of Americans are against it, particularly as it is being blatantly abused by Mexicans and others for anchor babies. Most politicians don’t have the balls to bring up this topic which is another example of why a guy like Trump, clown that he is, will continue to be popular.

It’s one thing to be a bigot. That makes him, and just about everyone else that’s afraid of the “anchor baby” threat, a jerk. But arguing that the constitution is unconstitutional makes him an unmitigated idiot. And bonus idiocy to anyone that thinks repealing it will change anything.

Is anyone concerned that America will eventually be brought down from within from someone born here like those movies, Departed, and what I prefer more, Infernal Affairs?
I suppose I wouldn’t be surprised that in 20-30 years, you may have some micro cells born/bred to cause trouble.
You are already starting to see US citizens causing trouble so changing the whole 14th amendment might not help much with our open system…
no fix, just more arguements and debates.

You can probably through in a shockingly high percentage of Democrats as well.
August 19, 2015 at 8:37 PM #788754spdrunParticipantDidn’t we complain about “mick”, “daigo”, “bohunk”, “polack”, etc immigrants 100 years ago? That turned out so badly. Yep, they really destroyed the US from the inside. Dirty Communistic scum.

The big issue for Republicans will be how the mainstream candidates react to Trump pandering to the base.
He is a protagonist stool pigeon, dressed up as an opening clown act. He’s carrying the mantle, albeit upside down, maybe to divert attention and allow time for the troops to rally behind the scenes, while Hilary exhausts her ammo. The question is whether that rally will hit the ground running, or fall flat on its face. I personally think the US would be better off becoming part of the UK again, or at least appoint Prince William as king. On second thoughts Harry might be a better choice.August 20, 2015 at 9:53 AM #788761no_such_realityParticipantThe people deserve representation that reflects them. Kim Khardashian is the obvious choice for president

White terrorism is a huge issue in the US already. I dread the next McVeigh. There are a lot of anti-Government crazies running around and if they stop taking their meds and use the internet to start collaborating, some very, very bad things could happen.
September 16, 2015 at 12:20 PM #789381FlyerInHiGuestAnyone watching the debate tonight?
September 16, 2015 at 12:51 PM #789383FlyerInHiGuest
His pompous statements on immigration, eg, really on near everything, no matter how crass or controversial, gets a public debate stirred up that is as refreshing as it’s stinky
After thinking over the issue of immigration, I suppose it’s logistically possible to setup an interagency organization to raid and deport undocumented immigrants. We can institute a positive ID regime and anyone who’s not in compliance gets reported to the immigration police.
