If it has ever been in doubt that alpha male douchebags tend to win and be attractive, trump should lay that to rest. I wonder how much further I could’ve gotten in life if only I had these attributes. Women, men everyone loves the biggest pick in the room.

It has me:

I am honestly astounded by the evil brilliance.
Still not sure she will win.
She is not very likable.
And oh yah – maybe a criminal.
August 11, 2015 at 10:40 AM #788587FlyerInHiGuestIt’s sexist to say that Hilary is not likable.
I like her just fine as a politician.August 11, 2015 at 10:54 AM #788588livinincaliParticipant.

Is it sexist or racist if a black person thinks Hilary is not likable?August 11, 2015 at 11:23 AM #788590FlyerInHiGuestYes.
I think people not liking Hillary started when she said that she wasn’t baking cookies and that her name is Rodham-Clinton.
For those who don’t “like” Hillary, what is it that is not likable. Define it.

The only indication I have of that is the whitewater thing.
I still don’t get how it really was a criminal enterprise.
There were a bunch of under-regulated institutions back then who thought they could lend themselves (and friends) money and get it paid back through investments. They were wrong and had to be bailed out.
There is an argument that as an S&L lawyer involved in such stuff, Hillary was benefiting (through legal fees for bad advice I guess) but the collapse of whitewater development cost them like 90k and made them nothing.August 11, 2015 at 11:28 AM #788593urbanrealtorParticipant
It’s sexist to say that Hilary is not likable.

No its not.Gore had those problems as well.
She seems mean and petty in a lot of her public comments.
Not quite Trump but in that same vein.

For me it’s the countless lies and deceit. Not like any other politician is much better but her lies are particularly unbelievable. At least Trump seems to own what he said 20 minutes ago. Hilary is going to tell you how it was somehow out of context even as you play the tape back.

The strength of Obama was not his leanings (liberal) or vision (big).
It was his discipline (in both message and in tone).
Note:
This has, at times, served him badly in that lots of people distrust how much he masks his true emotions.
Consider the absurdity that so many reactionary conservatives constantly question his honesty even though there have been no verifiable integrity issues raised of a professional (eg WMD’S) or personal (eg Lewinsky) nature.Trump is highly relevant in that he really epitomizes the emotion and anger that Obama never is willing to show.
Why are intelligent, sophisticated people so focused on emotions?
Obama is very professorial. He focuses on what works. He’s cool, disciplined, analytical and deliberate. What’s so bad about that? Maybe Obama confounds the expectations of a black man.
Honestly, I feel emotions are overated. I hosted friends and it was nice hanging out with them. But I’m exhausted with all the emotions. Even going out to eat involved emotions. People don’t like this or that. They complain/comment about how the food is prepared, they want some things removed or added, etc…

You need money.
My observation is that alpha males who spend all their money on women and proving themselves end up lonely. Few people tolerate poor alpha males. They sound crazy because they can’t back up what they say.August 11, 2015 at 2:55 PM #788605scaredyclassicParticipantAt least I learned what a “douchecanoe” is.
A super douchy douche.

The biggest issue detractors bring up is Benghazi.
In all fairness, it’s all a mountain out of a molehill. Chris Stevens, the ambassador, wanted to go and engage with the locals. It was his choice; he didn’t have to go to Benghazi. I really don’t see how Hillary is responsible for his death.
I’ve talked to a couple people in the foreign service and they find the whole Benghazi conspiracy baffling.
The deaths were unfortunate and better coordination could have provided more security. But nothing like a conspiracy.
