He used to be somewhat reasonable on many issues in the late 90s before he went down the rabbit hole of being a wealthy troll. It’s sad what he’s become.

But he’s no vermin supreme
July 12, 2015 at 6:06 PM #787918FlyerInHiGuestYes, it’s all entertainment.
And it’s about freedom of speech too, as kcal said.Tough business people like the Donald are not known to let up. They tend to dig in and become more intransigent. It’s the style of the business owners who run their own campaniles. It works in business, but it’s hard to steamroll everyone in politics.

July 12, 2015 at 6:59 PM #787922FlyerInHiGuestWhoever Trump’s lady is, she’s ain’t Jackie, the closest America ever came royalty.
Guys like Trumps are really easy to set off, if you’re not afraid of making a powerful enemy. I love it when Bill Maher claimed on TV that Trump was the love child of his mom and an orangutan. Of course, Trump sued but had to back down, humiliated.
Trump is a culture, mostly the in-your-face culture of rich men of the 80s. There are plenty of mini-trumps. It’s fun to set them off and watch them squirm. Better than throwing bananas at orangutans at the zoo! But be careful though, back in the old day, you dissed a rich guy like Trump at your peril — some dude could be visiting to break your leg.
July 12, 2015 at 8:49 PM #787925moneymakerParticipantI do like his taste in women and I’d bet most men would do either of his daughters but I doubt he is serious about being president.
July 12, 2015 at 9:05 PM #787926spdrunParticipantHis wife actually looked better before her plastic surgery. More human, not weirdly alien…
July 12, 2015 at 9:19 PM #787927CoronitaParticipantIt’s pretty sad this election is probably going to come down to Hillary versus Jeb…..I think Trump is getting deranged….. Must be the old age and senile years hitting him…

Yeah, but it’s pretty hard to beat Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, especially if Hillary wins….
July 12, 2015 at 10:09 PM #787929spdrunParticipantYep. Though Hillary has health issues of her own — she’s already likely had one stroke.
Frankly, I’m holding out hope for a “resignation due to the stress of campaigning,” leaving the primary open to Sanders.

Luckily we don’t have laws that allow the 1st lady to assume their late husband’s office, sans Mary Bono. And Christina is smoking hot for her age, but like all of my theorems end up being proven correct, Christina was a disaster for Argentina. Avoid extremely hot women for two positions, your wife and your leader. Attractive-yes, sexy-yes, voluptuous-yes-yes. But supermodel hot-no! She’s crazy!!
I hate politics, but the CFK reference reminds me of some of the parallels of this election and one of the most dysfunctional governments of the modern age, Argentina. Isabel Peron and CFK were both first lady’s who ended up succeeding their dead husbands. All smoking hot, all had a hand in taking a country with incredible potential and stature at one point to a comedic demise. Their greatest export is the lessons on how not to run a country into the ground. It’s just odd that we may be voting for a former first lady in the next election. Now Hillary is not Peron or CFK, so the super model hot theorem doesn’t actually apply here. But I’d like to see a woman be the president, just not a smoking hot one and I’m nervous about former first ladies just because of the history. But Hillary is attractive without being a super hot so I feel better that if say Christina Hendricks was running, cause I’d do whatever she said until we were were banging pots in the street because there was no food and inflation was 40%.
Oh and don’t hate on trumps wife for having plastic surgery, she looks good in both pictures. She probably feels better in the second picture and believe me, a woman who looks pretty but feels ugly is miserable and crazy and she will make you that way. You are better off with one that looks pretty and feels pretty, so I’m in support of whatever it takes to make that happen.
July 13, 2015 at 6:20 AM #787937spdrunParticipantShe looks barely human in the second picture. In the first, she looks attractive.
July 13, 2015 at 3:45 PM #787955flyerParticipantTrump definitely seems to have gone over the edge this time–even for him. I do, however, relate to his preference for marrying intelligent, beautiful women.
July 13, 2015 at 4:22 PM #787956poorgradstudentParticipantHe’ll be a circus during these early stages that don’t really count. He won’t actually file financial paperwork and will drop out eventually.
The big issue for Republicans will be how the mainstream candidates react to Trump pandering to the base.
