US housing market will collapse:
– Inventory will grow steadily over the summer
– Mortgage mess will get worse
– More and more fraud will be discovered
– Consumer confidence will decline
– US dollar will slumpOf course those things will happen if he DOESN’T get killed as well.
Believe me they’ll keep him out of harms way.
April 30, 2007 at 4:48 PM #51484CTParticipantNo way should they send him into Iraq. It is unfair not to make royality see conflict, but it is more unfair to his platoon members to put him in the fight. Those soldiers already have a strong chance of getting wounded or worse. Rest assured the enemy will throw everything they have at his platoon to kill him. His platoon members’ chances of getting hurt or killed increase significantly by his presence. I would hate it if my child was stationed with him. It’s a bad situation being made worse.

May 1, 2007 at 1:06 PM #51542no_such_realityParticipantHmm, I suspect shell fragments in the eye. Better rush him to the MASH.

As far as I can work out, insurgents are throwing pretty much everything they can at everyone anyway. The fact that he threatened to resign his commission if he wasn’t allowed to go shows he doesn’t want to be treated as a “special” case, which will go in his favour. I would think as many of his fellow soldiers would be disgruntled had he been given special treatment, and not allowed to go. In spite of that, an army’s leaders … generals, politicians will always be targets, and Kings have always fought alongside their soldiers. What’s so different about a royal son?
May 1, 2007 at 8:37 PM #51583LookoutBelowParticipantabsolutely nothing will happen if he gets blown up….Hes a non issue…like the rest of that silly assed monarchy
Shallow gene pools breed clowns like charles and the like….

May 16, 2007 at 3:10 PM #53062PerryChaseParticipantYeah, Harry won’t go Iraq after all.
It would be very ironic if Harry were to die in Iraq. It would mark the final close of Britain’s long involvement in Mesopotamia. Perhaps a sign of the end of the British monarchy and empire. The Brits can’t have that can they?
