52 week high… Anyone getting out?
I think I’ll hold until it either goes to $0, or goes to whatever…
I’m going for broke on this one too. I can afford to lose everything on this one, since I didn’t put much in. That’s typically what you do w/ penny stocks, right? Bet small but hope it’ll go to a few dollars.
March 17, 2014 at 11:14 PM #772002paramountParticipantMost know when to buy, selling is then the harder part IMO. I’ll sell on momentum.
Better yet, I’ll sell when flu gives the signal if flu is so obliged. If it weren’t for flu, I would not even have known about phot.

DON’T YOU DARE PIN THIS ONE ON ME…
THAT’S NOT FAIR.
I DIDN’T SIGN UP TO BE YOUR FINANCIAL ADVISOR….
A better financial advisor is if you invest in a nice dartboard, and hang up your favorite copy WSJ there and throw darts at it and buy whatever sticks….
I use to do this… until neighbor started stealing my WSJ on the very important days…..
So I got this idea of weed stock after watching the movie Road Trip…..
Ok, now that the truth comes out… I dare you to stay long on this stock….
FLU… making a mockery of mad stock picking skillZ… one stock pick at a time..
Paramount: just one question…. Did your gain on PHOT so far exceed the loss you took on your BMW, after listening to nutjobs like me ranting and raving about BMW’s? If so, sell….And cut even… Then I can sleep better knowing I didn’t totally screw you over….

If you’re just hoping that some idiot is going to buy this stock from you at higher prices because it’s related to canibus, carry on.

Leave it to seekingalpha to rain on my parade (as they’ve done a gazillion times in the past). I just put in a stop order to sell about 1/3 of my shares at .70. If it fills, I get my money out, and it’s all house money. Which is a very odd kind of reference for me to make. I don’t gamble on the market, I can’t afford to, it’s my job. Which makes this particular stock more of a party. Go figure.

Pretty good call. I’m out of 1/2 now, at .70 and .715. Order in to sell the rest at .65. I hope it doesn’t fill. But if it does, a pretty nice trade. $10K, 75 days. It’ll pay some bills.

I didn’t make much off of it. More I think livingcali brought me down to reality and reminded me why I hate penny stocks…
March 18, 2014 at 11:11 AM #772021northparkbuyerParticipantSeeking Alpha is a blog that presents itself as news. Notice that the poster bashing PHOT discloses in his byline “I am short PHOT.”
This (literally?) poor soul posted an equally negative entry on Seeking Alpha a few weeks ago. After the recent action, I can only wonder how deep in the hole he is. There are no limits to your losses on the short side.
His post seems to contain at least one outright falsehood (the HQ addresses for VAPE and PHOT are not the same, easily verifiable w/ Google search).
I have traded this thing since .20 but finally took a “go for broke” position at .36 last week. So far I’m enjoying the action, and believe in the story. If I lose my $5K stake, it won’t ruin me, so I’m holding until big pharma or big tobacco buys them out. Or until it goes to $0.

Hopefully you’re right and we’ll see another 30% pop again tomorrow :-).March 18, 2014 at 8:49 PM #772052paramountParticipant
No, not even close (yet…).
I have to say I do miss driving my BMW, don’t think I’d buy one again though. At least not for a daily commuter. I have had my eye on a Jaquar XJ8 Supercharged VanDen Plas.
And then on occasion my thoughts and dreams do turn to a 2014 335i 6 speed in metallic Red with Dark Burl Walnut real wood trim.

Website: http://www.growlifeinc.comHowever, I’ll accept the SEC’s information as accurate. Thanks for pointing this out, and my apologies if any Piggs held shares today based on my post (she’s down again).
Despite this revelation, I’m holding. Insane valuations are not uncommon for story stocks.

Despite this revelation, I’m holding. Insane valuations are not uncommon for story stocks.
The problem is this stock doesn’t have anything. If you’re a biotech with an insane valuation because you’re researching a drug that’s hopefully going to profitable you have your IPO cash sitting in the bank slowly being burned until you hopefully get approval. This company has less than $1 million in cash on it’s balance sheet. The reality is everybody wants to invest in marijuana and there aren’t any good investments right now and so people are jumping into this one without understanding what it is.
Is this company going to open a bunch of dispensaries and sell marijuana where it’s legal. I certainly don’t get that impression from the SEC filings and they don’t have any cash on hand to do it even if that was the goal.
Is this company going to grow marijuana and distribute it to dispensaries? Again they aren’t in that business now and have no cash to get into it.
Do they have some join ventures with other questionable partners to somehow make marijuana products (i.e. some kind of THC consumable without smoking it)? Are they going to sell hundreds of millions of shares of stock to investors at $0.03 to raise a few million dollars to pursue this. Yes, but those investors are likely to cash out the minute they can to unwitting fools that don’t understand what this company does. It’s going to have an f’ing market cap of over a billion dollars for a company that that has $5 million to do some r&d in coming up with the next weed brownie.
If the company had 400 million in the bank and was planning to open dispensaries all over the states as they legalize weed it might be a worthwhile investment. Or if it was going to start a major marijuana farm it might be an investment. But it’s not. It’s none of those things. It’s going to be a pump and dump that extracts money from people desperate to invest in the legalization of weed.
