I had to see what it was like so walked into a local hybrid medicinal/ recreational shop. I had a nice chat with one of the shop employees getting the skinny on things. I wasnt planning on buying, more of I wanted to see with my own eyes that I could walk into a store on the street with walls covered in weed and it was totally legal to purchase it. Having friends with medicinal licenses is still the way to go.

Can you imagine if this was legal when we were in high school? I would have burned a lot more back then.

CA can’t be far off from legalizing. They could use the tax revenue.

Even though I’m pro drug legalization I’ve always been too cheap to actually use them. Be the same way if they legalized pot. I can get a not bad fifth of bourbon, some vermouth and bitters all for under 20 bucks and get way more fucked up than 20 dollars of pot. Screw legalized drugs. They’re going to have to get prices way down, Walmart level, before I’m interested.

So, when possession and use is legal , taxes can be collected , will it still be illegal to grow your own… or will that be outlawed, “to protect the economy and the consumer”?

This is what I keep wondering about. It would be stupid to outlaw the growing of something that is perfectly legal.

Of course, growing your own tomatoes is perfectly legal, but I’ll bet most people just buy them at the store. People will do what’s easiest, I suppose.

It is legal to grow your own now in colorado, up to six plants. The thing that sucks is that the outdoor grow season here is super short and you cant take advantage of the endless amounts of sun. We built out a massive communal garden and couldnt really plant warm weather stuff until June 1st. We received heavy snow in Denver on May 1st (my wife’s bday and she was pissed) so it pushed back the start of gardening. Yes you can grow inside but that just seems odd to me.

If I recall correctly, CA has a measure to allow personal grow space for property owners a few years back. It sounds like there is a push for 4 measures in 2014 for CA. If I needed the stuff bad enough, I would still go score a medicinal license to avoid the steep prices.

Another reason yet for real estate to stay high in California. Buy now before growing pot and shipping it to Colorado is legal…or be priced out forever.

Be careful with this one. It’s not a profit until you cash out. PHOT sells for over 100 times sales. 379 million market cap and on track to make a little over 3 million in sales for the year. As far as I can tell they aren’t a dispensary. They only sell hydroponic equipment which in some respects should be negatively impacted if weed is legalized. You don’t need to buy indoor growing equipment if weed is legal right?

There’s all kinds of silly speculative stocks that are going bonkers in this market right now. Reminds me of 1999. I think we’re close to seeing the air come out. Look at PLUG or FCEL today. The speculative bubbles are popping all over the place.

Yeah…..And this morning when it was $6/share. I was complaining about how it kept going up…

31% headcut…. Ouch…

This is exactly how I feel. No desire really.

I think it has to do with addiction. I have become very zen in that, while I appreciate quality, I don’t desire any kind of food and drink. But I know people who salivate over a meal.

I’m sure people will pay for pot over the rent.

It traded a few times over $.70 this morning. I’m in at an average cost of about $.225. I thought about selling half. But made the same decision you did. Originally I had a GTC order into sell at $.420, but now I’m waiting for it to hit $4.20. Or at least until they offer free samples. Just like the ’70’s. Smoke away all my profits.
