the whole single/married debate really is related to housing. there is a feeling of looseness, unattachedness, with not being a homeowner, that makes you
feel slightly retarded while prices are rocketing upward, but when things are flat, declining or just weird and scary, makes you feel kinda cool, kinda bohemian, kinda open to the possibilities of the universe. makes me personally feel kinda cool, anway. it’s not quite being single, but it’s got a bit of that flavor, like, hey, anything’s possible, who knows where i’ll be in 3 months, hell i could skip town ina heartbeat, no problemo, or if i meet a cute pad, i could just buy her and make her mine, cause im not attached. hey, im a wild and crazy guy.

unfortunately, the actual reality is that i am so goddamn stable that i am probably not moving further than a ten mile radius for the next decade and a half…so it’s all just a fantasy….
