TG: I was waiting for you to weigh in on this. As a Raiders fan, I am spitting nails. What further proof does Al Davis need that his management style and control freak nature have destroyed that once-proud franchise?
I agree with everything you said (and might have actually said it myself in my earlier post). They went into one of the toughest situations imaginable and prevailed. For the record, I think Indy had NE earlier in the season, and just blew that game late. Granted, the Chargers are very outgunned and outmanned heading into Foxboro, but this is football and anything can happen. Watch out when a team starts believing in themselves. I make my players watch the OU – Boise State bowl game as an example.
When you talk about David versus Goliath – well, you always gotta remember how that turned out for Goliath.
I’ll stop short of saying “Go Bolts”, because I think that violates my membership in the Silver and Black Club, but great effort from a helluva team.

January 14, 2008 at 3:41 PM #135857nostradamusParticipantSpeaking of spice, I kinda thought this commercial for “Old Spice” deodorant was funny.
With all the steroid use in baseball I expect to start seeing a lot of such X-men mutant moves on the field.

As a lifelong Charger fan I must say this was the most exciting game since the Miami game back in… sheesh dare I say over 25 years ago?
Absolutely this was the biggest win since the Steeler game for the conference championship. Being a grizzled fan who flew to Miami in 92 to sit in a freeking downpour to watch the bolts lose 31-3 …. who then flew back to Miami to watch them get dumped by the niners in the super bowl… this was very much one of the sweetest games in a very long time.
Allan I think Kiffin is a pretty damn good coach. I hope that Al gives him a chance. You guys have some good parts… Morrison is great…your QB is good and he needs to season. I wouldn’t give up on Porter. Two good drafts and you guys can be really strong. Like you said, Al needs to get a strong gm in there and build em up.
Getting back to the game…it was really an exciting game ya know? So many big plays. Every drive was really important, it was like the entire game was really on edge and it went fast as opposed to the Tenessee game which I went to and was like watching paint dry.
