As a non SD resident I am somewhat removed from the euphoria of being an SD fan. I like the Chargers since LA has no team, and I certainly won’t back the Raiders, and I must admit I was actually kind of pulling for Indy.
LT hurt, along with Castillo, later Rivers, and I think one other, Turner making an ass out of himself the entire first half, a load of penalties on both sides, Manning’s 3 picks, and a worthless Harrison – all amounted to one thing:
IMO this win was a gift to the Chargers.
Yes they played well given the cirucmstances, but Manning gave it away with 3 picks and even with those, the Chargers were one great return by a 5′ 6″ 2nd string RB away from a loss.
I hate to say it, but I doubt they will be so lucky against the Pats. But I’d love to see it.
I just hope the refs aren’t as bad as they were in this colts game (first half anyway). Chargers being denied a clear touchdown and getting call after call against them while the Colts don’t get called for any of their false starts and other flagrant violations was incredible.

Even boomer had to give them props for winning this one with the zebras working against them. They can beat NE, but it will be back and forth like this. The team with more points when time runs out wins. The only thing concerns me was what looked like a little of the old martyball when they got the ball back after stopping the colts on 4th down at the end. They have to keep going for the jugular.
