I too have bought and sold many things on Craigslist. Never had any problem.
I can easily detect a scam.
Never complete online applications unless you know for sure who you are dealing with. Never pay for a rental list.
Never deal with a broker who wants you to sign up before showing you a property.
Never click through on links that people/spammers send you, especially when it comes to personal and financial information. That’s a rule that everyone should live by.

Be careful, I heard the cartels are moving non-producing fig trees north from Tijuana.
