I called, e-mailed and faxed (multiple times) Feinstein, Boxer, Bilbray, the White House, and many other senators and representatives in other states (and some staff from other states).
Believe it or not, the most sympathetic staff members were from the White House and Bilbray’s office. Actually chatted with them for a while on a few occasions, and they shared the same concerns as we discuss here. They were very much on the same page as we are.
I will absolutely vote for Bilbray (Republican) because he voted against the bailout both times. I will vote against Boxer and Feinstein (the least understanding of our postion, by far, when talking to their staff).
This bailout bill is a VERY BIG deal. If we don’t follow through with our votes, they will never pay attention to what their constituents are saying. You get what you ask for…
