It doesn’t matter if it is a fake or no fake does it? If you don’t want to play thier game stick to your guns and politely tell them that your current offer is the highest and best offer.
Multiple offers are REALLY frustrating not just for buyers but for buyers agents as well. Note however that in robust buyers markets like the one we are in now the SELLER risks scaring off buyers if they are to lie about having another offer or even another 10 offers.
Basically reading some of the responses to this thread is comical. I love how people who have absolutely made no offers out on any properties call it like it is.. (in thier small world) The reality of the situation is if the home is priced right it WILL get offers, perhaps several offers, perhaps not. I would echo sdrealtors advice. If you don’t believe them, stand firm.
What advice has your agent given you?
One thing you can count on… This is not the last foreclosure that you will see! Plenty more to come.
