      Anybody else finds ironic that the most bullish of San Diego’s newspapers is having trouble? I guess they believed all the kool-aid they were publishing.

      These layoffs are in addition to the dozens of reporters/editors who took up the offer of a buyout in December. Unfortunately, Burl Stiff was not among that first group.

      They lost me as a subscriber about 3 months ago. The business section was reduced to usually 3 pages of which 1 1/2 of those pages are stock charts or ads and most of the rest is AP articles. The Sports section is one of the worst in the country for a city as large as San Diego.
