The joke is that you think you are on the sideline. You think Trump’s policies and actions won’t affect you because you didn’t vote for him?
Your “sideline” is a coping mechanism. It doesn’t exist.

I agree Harvey.
When people say things “they are all the same”, “I’m independent so I don’t have a dog in the race”, it’s just a copying mechanism to feign indifference and avoid responsibility.
In fact, they very much have a preference and a stake in the outcome.
