Many of the things on this list of mostly platitudes have a nice ring to them.
Almost every one of them will end up in mired in the courts for months or years, many of them will cause massive disruptions to business, and some will be outright disregarded by people working for the federal government that actually read the Constitution and understand the rule of law.
Example: He can’t just “repeal” NAFTA. There’s already a massive business infrastructure on both sides of the border built around the trade that NAFTA defines. Making NAFA suddenly “end” simply has no practical meaning. Would all US/Mexico trade suddenly come to a halt? Nobody knows, so here comes a torrent of court cases over just one of Trump’s agenda points.
Trump signed America up for a massive shitshow and there’s no way out of it for him without losing tremendous face. And he doesn’t like to lose face.
We still have some time – it hasn’t sunk in yet and people won’t believe it until they start seeing it.
I’ll be all cash and/or short by early January.

Gravy would be Middle Class Tax Relief And Simplification Act and Affordable Childcare and Eldercare Act.

Two of many items on his list that could simply be renamed the “raise the national debt act”
BTW, whatever happened to all the Ron Paul fans?
November 9, 2016 at 5:34 PM #803347scaredyclassicParticipantdeficit schmeficit, what the point of power if u cant spend?
November 9, 2016 at 6:12 PM #803349flyerParticipantOn the macro level the issues are huge, and I think they will be a challenge for Trump, just as they would have been for any incoming administration.
On the micro level, there are always amazing financial and other opportunities under any administration. We’ve found that to be true under the present, and look forward to more in the future.

LoL, where’s the outcry about national debt over the last 7 years?November 9, 2016 at 8:21 PM #803363AnonymousGuest

Two of many items on his list that could simply be renamed the “raise the national debt act”

LoL, where’s the outcry about national debt over the last 7 years?
Are you joking?
There was constant outcry from the “tea party” and Ron Paul (didn’t I just mention him?) and generally from the Republicans
You know, the party of “fiscal responsibility.”
And now that their guy is promising unfunded entitlements, it is going the Make America Great Again?
The cognitive dissonance is astounding.

The cognitive dissonance is astounding.
what are you talking about. Why are you even bringing up deficit when you said nothing of the sort for the last 7 years. Now, it’s not your party doing it, and now it’s a problem. Since I’m part of neither party, I will cheer for the spending that benefit me. Since neither of the controlling party care about deficit.

Build a wall is part of ten-point plan of President elect Trump policy in immigration.

I said nothing about the deficit for seven years because I wasn’t concerned about the deficit then and I’m not concerned about it now. Zero contradiction there.
I’m pointing out that the Republican party can completely abandon its “principles” in a heartbeat. Because they stand for nothing except winning.

I have no more party than you do. The “I’m above it all as an independent” card doesn’t play with me.
Enjoy your handout. If he manages to pull it off, I’ll probably claim it also.
I agree. Republicans were against the stimulus and any kind of infrastructure bill. Republicans shut down thr government over the debt limit.
On the campaign trail Trump complained about the debt a lot.I’m expecting republicans to approve a huge infrastructure bill that will raise the debt and be good for the economy.
Maybe we will get an elevated train from the Vegas airport to the Strip. I would love, love love it. Trump is friends with Phil Ruffin who owns treasure island and trump hotel. He’s also buddy with Sheldon adelson, owner of venitian and the Vegas paper that endorsed him.
Christie and Julianni are in the NY/NJ area so lots of money will be spent on infrastructure there. And of course FL, trump’s second home.
I’m afraid there won’t be much money going to Michigan. Oh, well…
November 9, 2016 at 9:05 PM #803369enron_by_the_seaParticipantI am expecting Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to extend debt limit without any protest as many times as requested by the White House until the next Democrat president takes office.
